Happy to share with you my last portrait video of stunning Brazilian model Amanda Ozorio, shot with the Sony A7s3. The footage was recorded between the sets of our photoshoot. For this video, I used again the vintage Canon FD 50mm F/1.8 lens together with the Zeiss batis 85mm as well as the Sony 35mm F/1.8. In all cases, I used a Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter The entire footage was recorded in the S-Log3 Cine and edited/graded in Davinci Resolve Studio 17 with Film Convert Nitrate. Welcome to my latest shoot with Indian top model and actress Richa Sinha, She managed to spare some time to shoot again, while she was doing some commercial work in the north of India. As usual, I used my Profoto B1, B2, and B10 flashes for the photography and the modelling light from the B10 for the video sequences. As the main camera, I used for this shoot the Nikon D850, as well as the Canon Eos R with the stunning RF 50 mm F/1.2 wide open, for the tight portraits. The video was shot with my Sony A7R4. I edited the images on Eizo monitors as always, to achieve the best possible quality and colour accuracy. The video was edited in DaVinci Resolve Studio 16. Welcome back to my channel. This time we shoot lovely Ukrainian model Ivanna Negura from Destiny Models Management. We managed to shoot Ivanna a couple of days before she returned to Ukraine after spending nearly the entire lockdown in Delhi. And still, she came to my home studio with the biggest and warmest smile I had seen in quite a while. A brave young lady. Welcome back to my last portrait video of amazing Brazilian model Paula Krautz, which I shot entirely on the Sony A7s3 It has been quite some time since I posted my last portrait video, but have been quite busy with my wildlife filmmaking, trying to progress with my Ranthambore film, as well as for the first time travelling again (this time to Dubai for some shootings). For this video, I used mainly the Canon FD 50mm lens which renders beautifully colors with a creamy texture and has become one of my favourite lenses for personal videos. The footage was shoot on SLog3 and edited/graded in Davinci Resolve 17. Welcome to my latest portrait video and the first filmed entirely on the Canon EOS R5. On my previous portrait video, you can see my first impressions of this camera for filmmaking. To overcome part of the problems I faced the first time I recorded everything to my Atomos Ninja V. Even though I enjoyed the camera and also the editing of the ProRes files I have decided to start filing these videos also on my Sony A7S3 and use the Canon R5 purely for photography. This time I shot with Indian model Juhi Shrivastava in my home studio in New Delhi. Cool shoot with some really great images that you can check on my Instagram page. Welcome to my latest portrait video and to my first video shot with the R5. Below I give some comments on the performance of the EOS R5 and if someone has questions or wants a more in-depth video on the R5 please let me know in the comments. This time I had the pleasure to shoot with Indian high fashion model Akanksha Mehra in New Delhi. Great shoot with some really great images. On the technical aspect, I used my Profoto B1, B2, and B10 flashes for the photography and the modelling light from the B10 for most video sequences. I used the Nikon D850 for most of the Fashion part of the shoot and the Canon Eos R5 with the stunning RF 50 mm F/1.2 wide open, for the portraits. The video was shot with my new EOS R5 in 4k and the Sony A7R4. The footage of the R5 came out quite good, although the line-skipped 4K was way softer than the 4K HQ. For this type of shoot, I had no issues with overheating. Clip durations were around 30 seconds each and I shut down the camera between takes (different ballgame was shooting Wildlife videos, where the overheating became a real issue). I also noticed that in low light conditions the AF started hunting. And in this sense, another important issue that I encountered is the quite weak Focus Peaking option (not very accurate and very hardly visible on the screen) which made manual focusing a pain. And this an important issue, as the great Focus Assist does not work with manual lenses. The out of the camera files are unusable as-is. To be able to edit the footage, I had to transcode all R5 files to the ProRes 422 LT codec, which takes quite some time. Once done, grading in post was much easier than with the A7R4 files, which tended to fall apart very easily. Also important to highlight that when using the enhanced IBIS the image is being cropped in quite a lot.
